The Dick Van Dyke Show aired on CBS from 1961 to 1966. The show mainly revolves around the work and home life of Rob Petrie (Dick Van Dyke). Rob works as the head writer of a comedy/variety show. Many scenes deal with Rob and his coworkers on the fictitious Alan Brady Show. The format of the shows allows for them to be constantly making jokes during the series.
